Every year millions of us are lucky enough to consider an upgrade of our Smartphone, to keep in touch with the evolving technology, which nowadays moves at quite a pace. Through this time we can often get so wrapped up in the new phone we are going to receive that we don´t stop to think for a moment what to do with the old one. I would like to offer some advice that will lead to two great beneficiaries when you upgrade a Smartphone or cell phone to keep up to date with technology, yourself and the environment.

Firstly, many people do one of the two greatest mistakes that can be done when you upgrade your Smartphone; put the phone in the drawer to gather dust and clutter you’re a storage space, or even worse throw it to the trash. We will discuss the effect of the second of these shortly, but first it has to be said that when you upgrade to a newer Smartphone there is money to be made from the old phone, meaning a great benefit for you, and an upgraded Smartphone at a discounted price.

The number of phones, including Smartphones that are dumped in to landfills each years is astonishing, and growing, however you can play your part in being green and helping the environment whilst getting paid for it and enjoy your Smartphone upgrade knowing you got your new phone for a great price and helped the planet – If everybody that upgraded their Smartphone was to do this we could make a tremendous impact on the e-waste issues with just this method, so please be sure to spread the word to your friends and colleagues.

The process is simple and can be done before, or during your Smartphone upgrade, from the comfort of your own home you just visit a website, fill out some simple forms and they send you the packaging to return your old Smartphone – free of charge, they cover all costs of packaging, shipping and insurance (providing you select the correct company to trade with). I recommend a site that deals with just Smartphone trades, this way you know you are getting a dedicated service from a professional team, and this for sure, will make your Smartphone upgrade an easy and enjoyable experience.

So when you upgrade your Smartphone don´t let the old one sit and gather dust, or release harmful toxins into our planet, be constructive, be economic, be green, and most importantly, be paid for it. Visit www.cashforsmartphones.com and see just how simple it is to turn your old phone into cash to reimburse you for your recent or upcoming Smartphone upgrade.

It is interesting that the approach that vendors and carriers continue to tout to users is that they need ALL their emails on the mobile phones. Users can either register for a “push” email for mobile phones service such as the Blackberry and receive every annoying desktop email they get in its full glory with its hundreds of lines and threads. Or they can sign-up to other vendor offerings such as Google or Yahoo! with their “pull” offerings for Smart Phones which download your desktop email view to your 2×2 inch micro screen! Both types of services force you into expensive plans of $50-100 per month and you have to buy a Smart Phone. This is even the model for the more innovative devices such as the iPhone from Apple. So, what is a poor overwhelmed user to do?
Users need to look at reducing the volume and hence expense of the “all” or “nothing” model. The enterprise can look at buying a product that only forwards the critical emails to users with the option to reduce the content of those emails down to the key content. Consumers can similarly sign-up to Smart Email-to-SMS portals that automatically reduce the number of packets (and hence cost) based on salient content and then decide if that email should go mobile or not.
The carriers and the vendors would have us believe there are no such services! All you have to do is look at innovative solutions like the Email to SMS solution of Amika Mobile to know that there are great alternatives out there!!

It was announced back in February last year but until now, Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 touchscreen iPhone baiter has remained tantalizingly out of reach. With its full QWERTY keypad and handwriting recognition, is it enough to bruise Apple mobile phone?

Let’s take a look at Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone’s panel beater. Underneath the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone’s attractive, new-fashioned touchscreen there’s Windows Mobile operating system. It’s hiding behind a snazzy customizable interface called Xperia Panels, which softens the blow a bit, but you’re only ever a prod away from being dumped into Windows Mobile misery.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone sports handwriting recognition to turn your stylus scribbles into on-screen text. It’s a welcome alternative to touchscreen typing, but there’s also a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out from under the screen.

Hopping aboard the interweb express on a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone is a doddle. It’s got Wi-Fi built in, plus HSDPA for when you stray from the safety of a hotspot. It’s got faster uploading HSUPA tech as well which, if your network carrier supports it, will make uploading pics from the 3.2MP snapper quick as a flash.

If you spin the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone around, you will find a 3.2 megapixel camera. This isn’t one of Sony Ericsson’s CyberShot cameras, so you’ll have to make do without all the fancy gubbins come with those such as Car Zeiss lens or xenon flash. However, the autofocus should keep your snaps sharp.

Inbox interrogators are well served by the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone’s support for push email, which delivers missives direct to your mobile phone. Thanks to Windows Mobile it’ll also synchronize up with your computer to share calendars and contacts.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone maintains its sleek figure thanks to a full QWERTY keyboard that’s cunningly hidden away round the back. When called upon it slides out to transform the mobile phone into a powerhouse of pocket-able typing. With looks no other smartphone mobile phone can compete with, Windows Mobile fans have a mighty prospect in store if the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone lives up to its specifications and style.

This mobile phone has a battery that can stand up to 10 hours of calls with 833 hours of standby. It’s size is quite bulky though however it weighs only 158g.

Typically when you purchase a cell phone, the company that sold you the phone (ex: AT&T) ‘locked’ the phone before you bought it, so you can only use it on their network. This means that you can’t use your phone on any other network, even if you change the SIM (which is an abbreviation for Subscriber Identity Module) card. The SIM card is the little piece of plastic that identifies your phone to the cellular network. Changing your SIM card to have your nokia phone work on another network is useful especially if you want to travel to another country and want to buy a pre-paid SIM card so you can have cell phone access without roaming charges. There are services that offer to provide unlocking capabilities for a fee, but don’t pay for them! You can do it yourself for free, which is the perfect price.

1. Before trying anything else, contact your service provider and ask for an unlock code as per your nokia model. Usually, if you’ve been a customer of theirs for some time, they will provide you with free mobile unlock codes for your mobile phone. This is, by far, the best way to get your nokia phone unlocked.
2. Download software to generate the unlocking code. Software is available on some websites for free and some pay websites that also offer support if things go wrong. See external links below.
3. Find the Serial number of the nokia phone, also known as your IMEI number. This IMEI number help you to find nokia unlock codes for various nokia models. This can be done by either removing the back of your cell phone and looking underneath the battery, or simply by typing in *#06# into your cell phone. It should be something like: 010072321539976/07961780836
4. Using the software you have downloaded, enter in your Manufacturer (which is in this case Nokia), and sliding the card out. Put the battery back in and power the phone on.
5. You will see a message “Insert SIM Card”. Enter all of the characters you see in your code, including the # symbols. To get a ‘p’ press * 3 times, to get a ‘+’ press the * key 2 times, to get a ‘w’ press the * key 4 times. Disregard any spaces in the code.
6. In order to unlock your phone you generally need to enter only one code. Start with the first one. If your phone is not unlocked by typing the first code (MCC+MNC), use code “7″ (Multilock)
7. Once you have finished entering a code that works you should see a message that says “SIM is not restricted” or “Restriction off” message depending on your model. If not, try entering another code. Message “Cannot undo restrictions” means the phone is “hard-locked” and cannot be unlocked by code.

Warning
• Be sure to backup important information from your nokia phone [Contacts, Messages etc].
• Make copies of all files downloaded from your phone *before* they are modified. If something is wrong with the modified copy, you can reload the unmodified one to go “back to normal” in many cases.

The option to recycle your Smartphone or cell phone is not an issue that should be underrated or overlooked, the process holds numerous benefits, commencing with yourself, and your finances, as you can now get cash when you recycle an old or unused Smartphone – meaning you get paid to be green. With this in mind then knowing the process is simple should be enough to urge you to carry out the requirements to allow so many people to benefit from your actions when you recycle your Smartphone or cell phone.

With the above mentioned and many other benefits such as reducing the growing e-waste figure if we act in great numbers, avoiding toxins and plastics from being dumped into landfills that may not affect us, but for sure will have an impact on our children and their children, there is no downside to sending your old Smartphone to be recycled – and it can be done regardless of the condition of your Smartphone, even broken, or not working Smartphones and cell phones are accepted and you can still get a cash payment for your trade when you recycle.

The real factor that makes this an option that can´t be ignored is that it can be done at no charge fro you, and from the comfort of your home, no need for phone calls, no need for people calling at the door, just a simple visit to a dedicated website and you can begin the recycle process of your Smartphone, Cell phone or other electronic device, and start the trail of benefits. And remember you can still recycle your Smartphone or cell phone if it is broken, not working, not charging and get paid for it – there is no reason that everybody discarding of a phone should not be using this service and benefiting themselves and many others.

So, I have mentioned the website, providing you choose a dedicated company dealing with electronic devices, better still just Smartphones, or phones you can be sure that when you recycle your Smartphone you will receive a dedicated service, from a professional team making it a swift, smooth process to receive your money and do your part for the planet. Providing you follow my recommendation below it won´t even cost you a cent, as the packaging, shipping and handling is all paid for and all your personal data is dealt with in strict confidence with the memories being erased immediately upon receipt.

Next time you are going to discard a cell phone or Smartphone please take a moment to think green, get paid for it and recycle your Smartphone with www.cashforsmartphones.com – your one stop site to recycle your Smartphone and commence the endless benefits to you, your community and your siblings and the trail continues endlessly.

Mobile Phone Deal? Choose Your Own

Let’s be honest: How many times have you been shopping for mobile phones and had that annoying sales advisor trying to sell the the latest and greatest mobile phone deal with that phone he’s had in the back cupboard for the last 6 months? … and you know he’s only trying to sell you that one because no-one wants it?

Well, we have decided that it’s your turn to tell us which mobile phone you want!

We have created a unique mobile phone deal creator where you can choose a mobile phone and create the deal you want on the network you want and at the price you want to pay! – No more annoying salesmen, just the deal you want, selected by you. There are three drop down lists which allow you to select the exact mobile phone you want. See our three step guide below:

Step One:

Choose the brand / make and model of the mobile phone you are looking for. We offer a really handy drop-down list full of all the brands and models of all the mobile phones that we stock.

Step Two:

Choose the contract length & price. Some people feel that a 24 month mobile phone contract is a little too long. So therefore we allow you to choose the contract length you want to take. Once you have selected the contract length we display the available tariffs, their inclusive’s and their prices below for you to select. You can also filter these results by network.

Step Three:

You can now select a free gift. Mobile phones with free gifts are becoming very popular and we have a huge selection of free gifts to choose from including games consoles and laptops.

You’re Done!

Have fun and hopefully you will find the contract mobile phone deal that’s right for you.
